Solve parallel resonant network

This calculator solves a lossy parallel resonant circuit.

Enter known values for ESR of L and C, and known values for two of L, C and Frequency. Click on the appropriate button the calculate the unknown and it will solve the network. It uses a numerical method to find the solution, if the unknown L or C is blank it will make a reasonable guess, otherwise it uses the supplied value for an intial value for optimisation.

The calculator does not do a lot of error checking, if you enter nonsense, it will produce nonsense. NaN means not a number, check the input values.

Example:

Find the equivalent lossless shunt capacitance of a ferrite cored inductor of Ls=5µH, Rs=1500Ω, and fr=32MHz. Answer: 1.53pF.
