This calculator allows calculation of Kurokawa's power reflection coefficient from Zload (or Yload or S11) and Zsource. Note:

• impedance is a complex quantity, it has real and imaginary parts or magnitude and phase, likewise for admittance.

The results are valid only for linear circuits.

Zsource is the Thevinin equivalent source impedance for Kurokawa's factors.

To use s11 values to specify the source or load, Zref must be entered.

The quantity 1/(1-|s|^2) is if you like, mismatch loss calculated using Kurokawa's power reflection coefficient |s|^2.
