Pulse test of a Hantek 6204BD 4 channel 200MHz USB DSO and supplied probe

This article documents a pulse test of a Hantek 6204BD 4 channel 200MHz USB DSO and supplied probe (PP-200).

The pulse tester used is a the Leo Bodnar Fast risetime (40ps) pulse generator.

Above, a termination for the pulse generator for testing Oscilloscope probes. There is a pair of 100Ω 1% 0806 SMD resistors soldered in parallel, then soldered from shield to centre pin using some copper wire for flexing with thermal expansion.

Above, the ‘scope probe held in place with shortest connections to measure the rise / fall time.

Above is the ‘scope trace, colours inverted for printing convenience.

Above is a calculation of the bandwidth (assuming bandwidth is limited by a single RC slope).
