Comparison of the proposed CENELEC standard and existing US FCC 15.209 on HF Amateur Bands

The following charts compare the receiver signal strength resulting from the maximum permissable radiated interference under the proposed CENELEC standard and US FCC 15.209 standards. Don't overlook the fact that S9 is already over 60dB above the minimum discernable signal for most receivers.

Calculated at a distance of 20m from the radiator, assuming plane wave conditions, 2.2dBi antenna gain, no losses,  discrete carriers, and S9=50µV in 50ohms.

Go to the BPL Interference Evaluation Tool.
